Kerala Rail Development Corporation K-Rail is a public sector joint venture company under the ownership of the kerala Government and the railway ministry for the railway infrastructure development in kerala. The company was incorporated on 3 January 2017. The K-Rail is focused on the planning and implementation of rail line projects including surveys and preparation of detailed project report . K-Rail is also involved in procuring requisite approvals and does processing for the sanctioning of identified Projects. k rail starts from trivandrum to kasargod having 11 stations. Trivandrum, Kollam, Chengannoor, Kottayam, Kakkanaad, Nedumbassery, Thrissur, Tirur, Calicut, Kannur and Kasargod. K Rail Having length of 530 kilometers and estimated cost is 75000 crores.
